Paris Saint-Germain Football Club, commonly referred to as Paris Saint-Germain (French: [paʁi sɛ̃ʒɛʁmɛ̃], ult. ref. \"Saint Germanus\"), PSG, Paris, or Paris SG, is a French professional football club based in Paris. Founded in 1970 through the merger of Paris FC and Stade Saint-Germain, the club competes in Ligue 1, the highest division of French football, and plays its home matches at the Parc des Princes. PSG is France's most widely supported football club and one of the most followed clubs worldwide. The club has rivalries with Olympique de Marseille, against whom it contests Le Classique, and Paris FC in the Paris derby.

The Parisians are the most successful club in French football and rank among the leading clubs worldwide by number of competitive trophies won. PSG have won a record 14 Ligue 1 titles, one Ligue 2 title, 16 Coupes de France, 9 Coupes de la Ligue, and 14 Trophée des Champions. PSG is the most decorated French club internationally, holding French records with two UEFA Champions League titles and two UEFA Super Cup, as well as having won the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, the UEFA Intertoto Cup, and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.

Before the Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) takeover of PSG in 2011, the club had won 18 trophies, including two European titles, two Ligue 1 championships and 13 national cups, placing among the top five in French football at the time. Following the acquisition, PSG entered a period of sustained domestic dominance, attracting numerous high-profile players and becoming the country's most successful club. Under manager Luis Enrique, PSG also established itself as a dominant force in international football, winning consecutive UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup titles, the FIFA Intercontinental Cup, as well as the continental treble and sextuple in 2025.

Since 2011, PSG have been majority-owned by QSI, with Arctos Partners acquiring a minority stake in 2023 and Boardroom in 2025. As of May 2026, the club is the wealthiest in France and ranks among the richest and

most valuable football clubs in the world. In addition to its men's football team, PSG operates a youth academy, a women's football team, and sections in handball, judo, and esports. The club has also previously fielded teams in basketball, volleyball, boxing, and rugby league.
